Promotes self-esteem with clean clothing which is available to our participants. We provide clothing to both women and their children, mostly infants and toddlers. Our many donors and partners make our clothing closet a continued success year-round.
Community Outings
For our participants to have an impression of what it means to live an independent life, we involve them in community outings. We attend sporting events, community parks, beaches, museums, and other enjoyable places. We believe these outings will serve as a reminder of what it feels to live a free and independent life. More importantly, a median to connect with society without feeling hopeless or inadequate.

Health and Wellness Education
We are interested in the wholeness and wellness of our participants. To ensure our participants stay healthy mentally and physically, we initiate empowerment sessions that discuss topics in the area of health, wellness, morale, motivation, self-care, and many other topics that address barriers and preventive measures. Everyone can benefit from our empowerment sessions. New Reflections staff completes an individual assessment that allows us to identify areas which our participants need necessary resources to accomplish their goals and educate them to better position themselves to obtain stabilized housing.
Hygiene Supplies and Nutritionist Meals
In addition to nutritious food, we also ensure women and children are provided with essential and basic needs to cater to their hygiene. These range from diapers, baby wipes, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo and sanitary pads. At New Reflections, we believe it’s not enough to provide a safe haven, but it is also important to assure no one goes hungry and we do that by providing nutritious meals daily.
Transitional Subsidized Employment Program (TSE)
To equip our participants with the job experience required to live a better life, we are involved in the Transitional Subsidized Employment Program. Just as the aim of the TSE Program is to promote self-sufficiency, it aligns with our vision at New Reflections. Tutoring Services for Youth
Annually, there are no less than 1.6 million children without permanent housing, a situation that affects their ability to stay focused in class. This in addition to the number of youth who are lacking the required skills and knowledge to earn a living. To fill this gap, New Reflections provides one-on-one tutoring from kindergarten through high school level on a weekly basis. We also provide an avenue for young people to acquire digital skills which will allow them to excel in life. Everyone deserves an opportunity to receive an exceptional education and our goal at New Reflections is to ensure academic achievements are met for all youth that come through our doors.
